Lorenz has been publishing music since 1890, and today they are one of the country's largest music publishers. Their many divisions publish a wide variety of musical styles, creating demanding requirements for their team of music typesetters. The majority of their new publications are prepared with computers.
Our engravers continue to be impressed with both its flexibility and efficiency. We are able to accommodate the varied notational requirements of piano and band methods, Orff books, and handbell music as easily as the more normal requirements of choral octavos and keyboard collections. Being able to move a dot without proceeding through a complex maze of dialog boxes has saved time as well as unneeded frustration. Simply stated, Music Press is computerized engraving without sacrificing the art of engraving.
